The Human-Computer Interaction International Conference (HCII) once again set up a “Bie-modernism Cultural Computing” sub-venue for Bie-modernism founded by Professor Wang Jianjiang

On September 18, 2023, Wang Jianjiang, founder of Bie-modernism, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Humanities of Shanghai Normal University, received a notice from the organizing committee of the Human-Computer Interaction International Conference 2024. The notice is to set up a Bie-modernist Cultural Computing sub-venue for Bie-modernism again, and Wang Jianjiang is invited and entrusted to organize the sub-venue.

This is the third time that HCII has set up a branch venue for Bie-modernism since it participated in HCII in 2021. Among the previous Bie-modernism conference papers, more than 10 papers have been included in the conference proceedings, published by the famous Springer Publishing House, and many related results have been included. These are the results of Bie-modernism’s use of computer tools to solve practical problems in the humanities and social sciences and interdisciplinary research.
The Human-Computer Interaction International Conference (HCII) was established at the end of the last century. It is one of the largest academic organizations in the world for computer and artificial intelligence applications. Every year, 7,000-8,000 people from more than 80 countries apply to attend the conference. Among them, cultural computing (C&C) is a new field in HCII that spans science and technology, humanities and social sciences. Bie-modernism cultural computing adheres to the principle of identifying authenticity. Currently, Bie-modernism deeply explores the difference between deep fake and deep distinguishing. It has also produced a large number of results in artificial intelligence poetry writing, Chinese design research, character identification in Chinese novels, and analysis of the proportion of modernity in works. It has also done a lot of experiments and research on the application of Metaverse and Chat GPT, and published a series of achievements in modernist cultural computing. As a result, it has been widely recognized by the Human-Computer Interaction International Conference and experts and scholars in the field of cultural computing, and has been set up as a branch venue by the conference for three consecutive years.
It is reported that the 2024 HCII will be held in Washington, the capital of the United States, from June 29 to July 4 using a combination of online and offline methods.
