“Philosophy and Creativity”—— The 8th International Conference on Bie-Modernism preparatory meeting was held

On September 19, the preparatory meeting for the 8th International Conference on Bie-modernism was held at the School of Humanities of Shanghai Normal University. Expert professors, directors and doctoral student representatives from Donghua University, Shanxi Film Academy, and Shanghai Normal University attended this meeting. The conference was chaired by Wang Jianjiang, founder of Bie-modernism theory, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Humanities of Shanghai Normal University.

At the meeting, Wang Jianjiang introduced his history of engaging in creative development and using creativity to influence and promote artistic creation. He said that he would co-organize the 8th International Academic Conference on Special Modernism with the Center for Chinese Bie-modern Studies (CCBMS) in the United States and the Center for Bie-Modern Studies (CBMS) in Slovenia. The theme of the 8th Modern International Academic Conference is Philosophical Construction and Creative(Idea) Research and Development.

During the meeting, design professor Zhou Ren, associate professors Zhao Zhiyong and Hu Jieming, and artist and director Guan Yu expressed their creativity and opinions. Several doctoral students also actively spoke and participated in the discussion.

It is reported that although the conference was postponed for one year due to the epidemic in 2022, during this period the International Conference of the International Society for Chinese Philosophy (ISCP) set up a special session on Bie-modernism and international communication. The Human-Computer Interaction International Conference (HCII) has also set up a Bie-modernism branch venue, which has expanded and deepened Bie-modernism in the international interdisciplinary field. At present, Bie-modernism theory has not only received enthusiastic responses and discussions in the aesthetics, art, and literary theory circles, but has also had a wide impact in the philosophy, artificial intelligence, tourism, and legal circles. It is considered to be an original and comprehensive philosophical theory.

This preparatory meeting conducted in-depth discussions on the theme of The 8th International Conference on Bie-Modernism, creative (idea) research and development, intellectual property protection system and conference agenda. It was finally decided to hold “Philosophy and Creativity” – The 8th International Conference on Bie-Modernism in Shanghai on December 9-10, 2023.
