June 2nd, 2019, the International Conference on “Modern Value of Ancient Chinese Aesthetics” was held at East China Normal University. Professor Wang Jianjiang made a speech at the conference entitled “Bie-modern and Ancient Chinese Aesthetic Category”. In this paper he covered the topic from Bie-modernism to Bie-culture in ancient China, and then discussed the relationship between Taoist Bie-culture and internal aesthetics, as well as the aesthetic category that is beyond internal aesthetics.
