A Bie-modernism project in Jiangxi passed its final evaluation
Recently, it was learned that a project studying Bie-modernism in Jiangxi has passed its final evaluation. The project is titled Research on Bie-modern Cultural Theory and Literary Aesthetic Issues (JD19054) and is a key research base project for humanities and social sciences in universities in Jiangxi Province. The project leader is Xiao Minghua, a teacher at the School of Literature of Jiangxi Normal University.
The research results of the project are in the form of a monograph. Its content mainly includes two aspects: on the one hand, it evaluates Bie-modern cultural theory and strives to advance the refinement and deepening of Bie-modern theory research. On the other hand, it criticizes Bie-modern cultural theory – that is to say, it uses Bie-modern cultural theory to interpret and criticize literary theory, aesthetics and literary phenomena etc., striving to promote the construction and development of Bie-modern cultural theory through criticism.
The project leader Xiao Minghua was a visiting scholar of the ‘Western Light’ program of the Central Organization Department at Shanghai Normal University in 2018-2019 and studied with Professor Wang Jianjiang for one year. The results of this project are also a reflection of the achievements of that year’s visit.
