“Bie-modern” Selected as an Original Academic Concept in Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences

On December 17, the 7th China Academic Evaluation Forum was held at Renmin University of China (RUC), with the theme of “Original Academic Concepts in Philosophy and Social Sciences and the Construction of Autonomous Knowledge System”.

Prof. Lin Shangli, President of Renmin University of China (RUC), attended the opening ceremony of the forum, and Prof. Wang Yi, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of RUC and Vice President of RUC, presided over the opening ceremony. About 150 people from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Renmin University of China (RUC) and other organizations attended the conference, including the proponents of original academic concepts, editors-in-chief of renowned academic journals, experts in scientific research management, scholars from various disciplines, and related media.

 During the forum, the Center for Book and Newspaper Materials of Renmin University of China released the “Standard-Methodology-Example: Analysis Report of Original Academic Concepts in Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences”, which provides theoretical and empirical analyses of original academic concepts. Ten concepts are listed: “Bie-modern”, ” Imperial Agrarian and Commercial Society”, “Anti-Gradient”, “Public Interpretation “, “Harmonics”, “Techno-Auditivism”, “Trans-systemic Society”, “World System”, “Art System”, “Artistic System”, “Artistic System”, “Artistic System”. “, “Public Appreciation of Art”, “Knowledge of Destruction”. The Forum conducts academic seminars in this way.
