Professor Wang Jianjiang was invited to hold a Bie-modernism art lecture in the United States

During the Chinese National Day holiday, Professor Wang Jianjiang of the School of Humanities at Shanghai Normal University and a doctoral supervisor was invited by Southwest Georgia State University in the United States to conduct a two-week lecture on “Bie-modern and Bie-modernism Art” at the university. Undergraduate and graduate students from two grades and some teachers participated in the lecture.

The research results of the project are in the form of a monograph. Its content mainly includes two aspects:

Professor Wang Jianjiang’s Bie-modernism theory was founded in 2014 and has been discussed and disseminated globally over the past eight years. In May 2017, Southwest Georgia State University in the United States became the first in the world to establish an independent “Center for Chinese Bie-modern Studies (CCBMS)”. In May 2019, the University of Primorska in Slovenia, a member state of the European Union, also established a Center for Bie-Modern Studies (CBMS).

Bie-modernism theory is a doctrine about social forms and historical development and an inclusive philosophical concept. It has now formed 27 theoretical categories and its own methodology. Its research results have involved various fields such as philosophy, sociology, literature and art studies, aesthetics, art studies, law, tourism studies, psychology, education, design studies, artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction, cultural computing etc. It is a doctrine recognized by the international academic community. Some scholars in different professional fields even believe that Bie-modernism theory is an academic public instrument. At the same time Bie-modernism theory has also had a positive impact on artistic creation. This time Professor Wang Jianjiang was invited to give a lecture at the School of Visual Arts at Southwest Georgia State University in the United States which shows its obvious pertinence and applicability to artistic creation thus winning praise from teachers and students.

After the lecture, Professor Wang Jianjiang was also invited by the famous Savannah College of Art and Design to have an academic discussion and explore discipline construction with professors from the school.
