Professor Wang Jianjiang, the founder of Bie-Modernism, a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at Shanghai Normal University’s School of Humanities, as well as the director of the Institute of Aesthetics and Aesthetic Education at Shanghai Normal University, has successfully conducted a tour of lectures on the theme of “Life in Bie-Modernism”. He was invited by Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Lanzhou City University, Lanzhou University, Gansu Agricultural University, and Northwest Normal University to deliver these lectures in Lanzhou from April 3rd to 9th, 2023. Professor Wang Jianjiang also holds positions as the honorary director and academic advisor of the Center for Chinese Bie-Modern Studies (CCBMS) in the United States, a member of the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII), the Chinese Society of Aesthetics, and the Chinese Society of Literary Theory of the School of Literature.

The tour of lectures revolved around Professor Wang Jianjiang’s Aestheticology of Life Equity/Life Stocks, which is part of Bie-Modernism 2.0. In the series of lectures titled “The Thoughts of Life in Bie-Modernism” “The Way of Life in Bie-Modernism” “The Art of Life in Bie-Modernism” “The Realm of Life in Bie-Modernism” “The Beauty of Life in Bie-Modernism” and “The Journey of Life in Bie-Modernism”. Professor Wang Jianjiang delved into the literary masterpieces and classic artworks from both ancient and modern times to deeply analyze the underlying causes of human survival crises. He revealed the secrets behind the relationships of life with consumption, filial piety, and death, showcasing the issues of life equity faced by humanity and other life forms during the transition from carbon-based life to silicon-based life. Additionally, Professor Wang Jianjiang explored the theoretical relationship between happiness, aesthetics, and the Easterlin Paradox. This tour of lectures represents a journey and feast of life within the field of Bie-Modernism aesthetics.

Professor Wang Jianjiang delivered his lectures with clarity, creating a strong impact. The interaction between the professor and the audience was dynamic, with active participation from both students and teachers.
